Terms of Service
Last updated: August 15, 2026
1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or making a payment on Code Secure Academy ("CSA", "we", "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.
2. Accounts
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Cohort enrollment
Enrolling in a track reserves your seat for that specific cohort's dates and price, shown at checkout. Prices are in Nigerian Naira (₦) and processed via Paystack. A seat is temporarily held while your payment is confirming and is released if payment fails or is not completed. This does not affect a payment that goes through, including slower bank transfers still being confirmed.
4. Refunds
[Placeholder: confirm CSA's actual refund policy before launch.] Refund requests made at least 7 days before a cohort's start date are eligible for a full refund. No refunds are available once a cohort has started, except where required by law.
5. Marketplace
CSA Marketplace connects independent sellers (students or outside sellers, approved by CSA) with buyers. CSA is a platform facilitator, not the seller. Each listing is the responsibility of the seller who created it. CSA takes a 10% commission on marketplace sales, automatically split at checkout via Paystack. Fulfillment of a marketplace order (delivering a digital product, performing a service, shipping merch) is between the buyer and seller; contact us if a seller doesn't fulfil an order and we'll assist where we reasonably can, but CSA is not liable for a seller's conduct or the quality of what they sell.
6. WhatsApp groups
Cohort WhatsApp groups are for cohort-related communication. Be respectful: harassment, spam, or sharing group content outside the group without consent can get you removed from the group and the cohort without a refund.
7. Reviews
You may leave one review per completed purchase. Reviews are moderated before publishing and must be honest and relevant. We can reject or remove reviews that are abusive, fake, or off-topic.
8. Intellectual property
Course materials remain the property of CSA (or the relevant instructor) and are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use. Don't redistribute, resell, or publicly republish course materials without permission.
9. Prohibited conduct
- Sharing your account or course access with people who haven't paid
- Harassment, hate speech, or abusive behaviour toward staff, instructors, or other students
- Attempting to circumvent payment, security, or moderation systems
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, at our discretion, without refund where the violation involves fraud or abuse.
11. Limitation of liability
The platform is provided "as is". We don't guarantee specific outcomes (e.g. job placement) from completing a track. To the extent permitted by law, CSA's total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
13. Changes
We may update these terms as the platform evolves. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
